ABOUT ECONOMIC EQUITY FORUM

WEOP’s annual Economic Equity Forum is designed to tackle a broad array of critical and timely issues, with a special focus on discussing issues that impact women of color. In line with our theme, DRIVING PROGRESS: Connecting, Collaborating & Leading, we are bringing women together to discuss issues, actionable strategies and solutions that address the barriers women continue to face.

Our event is conducted in partnership with Small Business Majority, a nationally recognized small business organization dedicated to empowering America’s diverse entrepreneurs and building a thriving, equitable economy. This partnership is grounded in a shared vision of fostering innovation and dedication for an inclusive economic future.

AGENDA

Through a series of thoughtfully curated discussions, this year’s forum seeks to create awareness around the unique challenges faced by women of color and to foster an environment where these challenges can be openly addressed. We envision each discussion as a catalyst for change—a space where fresh ideas can flourish, partnerships can form, and every woman leaves feeling empowered, inspired, and equipped to make an impact.

SPEAKERS

The Economic Equity forum feature a diverse lineup of dynamic speakers from government, nonprofit, corporate, and entrepreneurial sectors, all united by a shared vision: to address the critical issues impacting women today. Through engaging discussions, these leaders bring valuable insights, expertise, and strategies to empower women and create opportunities for growth, equity, and success in their careers and businesses.

OPEN FORUM

A key highlight of the EE forum is the interactive breakout sessions that concludes the day. These sessions are specifically designed to provide a more intimate setting where participants engage in deeper discussions, network with peers, and collaborate directly with panelists and professionals. The overall goal is for our participants to feel energized, equipped with new knowledge, and inspired to take action.
