Our Mission
WEOP fosters the economic advancement of women of color who are self-employed and small business owners through education, resources, and professional networks. WEOP provides women power, purpose, and a platform through advocating for policies supporting women in business and financial sustainability, increased leadership, and greater civic engagement.
About Us
WEOP was founded in 1999 by twin sisters Antionette & Marionette Ball. WEOP is an award-winning organization that has gained national recognition for delivering quality programming for women. The agency has developed innovative program initiatives that have addressed economic disparities and challenges faced by Women of color. Since 1999, WEOP has developed customized programs for workforce development training, business development services, mentorship, and contract training program initiatives. WEOP leverages corporate and private sector partnerships within the Georgia community providing an ecosystem of business support.
WEOP is one of the first women organizations to develop proprietary federal Prime Time Contract training conducted at Atlanta Technical College and at the University of Georgia System Small Business Development Center (SBDC). WEOP works in partnership with large fortune 500 companies and anchor institutions delivering business program models to address the barriers faced by women of color.
Awards & RECOGNITION

Women’s Entreprenuerial Opportunity Project, Inc. Receives a check for $25,000 from Fifth Third Bank!
Fifth Third Banks Support WEOP’s Advancing Business Opportunities Ventures & Enterprises (A.B.O.V.E.) program. A core of fifteen women owned businesses was selected for a specialized six-month training that included instructor led classes, workshops and mentoring sessions. The program provided the skills and knowledge to pursue federal prime and subcontract opportunities.

- 2015 Small Business Administration (SBA) Award The Georgia District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration announced WEOP’s Founders as one of this year’s award recipients for its Georgia Small Business Week awards program.
