Advancing Business Opportunities Ventures & Enterprises (ABOVE) is a signature program of WEOP and a cornerstone of our mission to drive economic equity and empower women through entrepreneurship. Through ABOVE, we offer a dynamic calendar of specialized training sessions, innovative projects, and strategic initiatives that are designed to connect women, build thriving businesses, and foster the knowledge needed to be competitive and generate revenue.

SPECIALIZED PROJECTS

We collaborate with a diverse network of strategic partners, including seasoned business professionals and mission-aligned organizations to bring specialized knowledge and expertise to our community. Our goal is to support innovative projects that generate real economic impact. Strategic partnerships with experts in areas such as AI integration, government contracting, and proposal development, help our community acquire high-value competitive skills. Every initiative is intentionally designed to align with what will be beneficial for the businesses we serve to focus on results, opportunity, and long-term success.

WEOP’S APPROACH

• Provide the community with an ongoing calendar of events, specialized classes, educational workshops to increase competitive business knowledge.   
• Conduct community town hall meetings and focus groups to provide a platform for women to discuss and share challenges.  
• Increase the number of women pursuing prime and subcontract opportunities to increase business revenue.  
• Engage with Contracting Officers and Supplier Diversity professionals to provide access and connections to potential prime and subcontract opportunities.  
• Connect with strategic partners to expand an ecosystem of support to keep women connected to a network or resources, opportunities to support business advancement and growth.
