ONGOING ACTIVITIES/EVENTS 

WEOP’s ongoing calendar of activities touches thousands of women with annual business forums, roundtables discussions, monthly workshops, training sessions and special projects for women of color.  

MODEL PRACTICES 

WEOP works in partnership with various organizations/agencies to identify opportunities, create awareness and advocate for projects that support and address the unique challenges faced by underrepresented, women of color.  

REFERRAL NETWORK 

WEOP’s referral network has helped thousands of women secure business loans, mentor agreements, business projects and acquire federal and private contracts in access of over 50 million dollars. 

FOCUS GROUPS 

WEOP conducts focus groups with public and private stakeholders to share best practices, discuss contract opportunities, and continue to connect WEOP to projects that support the economic advancement for women of color. 

GOLDMAN SACHS ONE MILLION BLACK IN BUSINESS 

WEOP is one of the featured partners and actively involved with referring women and business advisors to support program activities for the “Black in Business” initiative.

ONLINE COMMUNITY 

WEOP’s online platform, weopwomen, an online community connecting hundreds of women to peer networking opportunities, information and resources to support business growth. 

STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS 

Strategic partnerships with entities such as Small Business Majority, Small Business Administration (SBA), Emory University Goizueta Business School, Invest Atlanta, and Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs (ACE) supports our work.

MULTI-CULTURAL WOMEN 

WEOP teamed up with The Center for Asian Pacific American Women (CAPAW) to conduct a “Financial Empowerment Business Forum” and a series of multi-cultural women’s events for hundreds of women of color.   

PROCUREMENT 

WEOP’s proprietary curriculum “Prime Time”, was designed specifically to help women of color navigate the federal contracting process and understand the important role of socio-economic programsThe model curriculum has been utilized by other organizations serving women.
