ABOUT THE BLOC PROJECT

WEOP is excited to announce that our BLOC is officially off to a great start. Classes started in May and will continue through September, 2026 leading up to a special retreat and a closing ceremony.

We have selected a dynamic group of women business owners, leaders, and changemakers to participate in this six-month learning experience focused on real estate, economic development, land acquisition, community empowerment, and pathways to ownership.

THE PROJECT

BLOC helps women business owners explore real estate, economic development, land acquisition, and wealth-building strategies while connecting them to projects, partners, and pathways for long-term economic growth.

Whether through real estate, entrepreneurship, development projects, or collaborative investment strategies, BLOC creates space for women to learn, connect, and position themselves for long-term economic growth.

Inspired by the belief that ownership creates opportunity, BLOC is designed to empower women with the knowledge and strategies to participate in community development, real estate ventures and wealth-building initiatives. The program encourages women to become leaders and contributors to projects that strengthen families, businesses, and communities. Overall, The initiative was created to:

Educate women on pathways to ownership and wealth-building.
Connect participants to industry professionals and financial
Resources.
Encourage collaborative thinking and collective economic impact projects.
Build leadership within a committed network of women prepared to engage in projects that drive community impact.

BLOC WORKS: EXPERIENCE, CONTRACTS AND JOB CREATION

A critical part of this project is building strong partnerships with employers, developers, community-based organizations, and mission-aligned businesses to connect participants to potential contracts, employment opportunities, project-based assignments, and other revenue-generating pathways.

Aligned with BLOC’s mission, this initiative is designed to move participants from learning to action by creating working partnerships that support real projects and produce measurable economic impact.

The impact is cyclical: as participants gain access to contracts, jobs, and project-based work, they increase revenue, strengthen their businesses, create economic activity, and help build long-term wealth in the communities they serve.
